About
The Animals is a short film that explores obsession, nature, and the doppelgänger through dark comedy and magical realism.
The film will be shot on location on the streets of LA's Chinatown and in the forests of Topanga in June, 2011. The film is scheduled to be released in Fall, 2011.

Caitlin Doughty (writer)
WORK: Caitlin is a licensed funeral director in the state of California. She has worked as a crematory operator, a funeral arranger, and a corpse chauffeur. She has degrees in Mortuary Science and Medieval History. She also enjoys taiko drumming, amateur taxidermy, the art of the medieval macabre, the intersection of Eros & Thanatos, and Victorian science. She has previously adapted and directed stage plays from the works of Edgar Allen Poe and Christina Rossetti. The Animals is her first original screenplay.
HISTORY: The Animals is her fourth collaboration with designer Meredith Ries as well as her fourth collaboration with director Angeline Gragasin.
Caitlin lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
